Readers

Readers make an important contribution to parish mission. The Church invites new people to come forward, in consultation with our parish priest, to offer themselves for this service in the life of our Church.

In addition to those people who already generously read the Scriptures at our Sunday Mass it would be wonderful to increase our number of confident readers able to proclaim the Word of God at each Daily Mass.

If you feel inspired to share your love of ‘God’s Word’ please speak to Fr Mark.

1 Timothy 4:13 (ESV): "Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching."

Revelation 1:3 (ESV): "Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it...".

Colossians 3:16 (ESV): "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom...".

Joshua 1:8 (ESV): "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night...".

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 (ESV): "And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."
